Websites

I know of some websites that you will find plenty of information about Nature, Enviroment, Animals and a lot of other stuff, they are: http://www.wwf.org/ , http://www.davidsuzuki.org/ , http://www.wilded.org/

Link to David Suzuki

http://www.davidsuzuki.org/ is a great website to look at. You can even find information on David Suzuki himself!!!

This is a link from David's website which is related to my topic

http://www.davidsuzuki.org/_pvw370829/about_us/dr_david_suzuki/article_archives/weekly04180201.asp

I looked at a few of the articles but didn't understand much. I recomment that kids don't go to that site.

Researching the topic

WWF(World Wildlife Fund) is an organisation that helps wildlife. They were founded in 1967 and the've been helping animals for years. WWF has helped many animals such as a spotted owl. They have helped many animal homes that have almost gotten destroyed. The've helped many baby animals whos parents have died. When you donate money to WWF you help animals, and the more money you donate the more animals you help! You can also help animals by adopting an animal from WWF. I have given some very good information on WWF and I hope you learned a lot about WWF. For more information go to: http://www.wwf.org/

Exploring the Issue

Problem: Animals are becoming extinct and WWF doesn't think it's very fair for them.

Questions:
1. Why do hunters have to kill so many animals? Why do they have to kill them in the first place?
2. Do hunters even know if it's not good for animals and it makes them go extinct?
3. What does the WWF do to help animals?

I will focus on question #3.

Book Review

Today at school I read a book called Protecting habitats by Rufus Bellamy. This book is about protecting the habitats of animals. It tells you about what people are doing that isn't good for animal homes. I liked how the book showed you how people are doing things that don't hurt the environment. I didn't really like the part where it showed already damaged homes. That part was sad.
